Obituary of Miriam Deborah Newman

Miriam Deborah Newman, 83, of Manchester died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Aristacare at Manchester. Born in Bronx, NY, she was a longtime Lakewood resident prior to settling in Manchester in 2000. Miriam was a volunteer at Bezalel Hebrew Day School for many years, a member of Hadassah, and a past member of Congregation Sons of Israel, Lakewood. Predeceased by her parents, Julius and Anna Sokoloff and her husband, Seymour (2004); she is survived by her children, Steven of Mexico; Carol Rubinpour and her husband, Reuben of Israel; Robert and his wife, Nurit of NY, and Ronald and his wife, Lyn of NJ; sister, Rosalyn Cohen of WA; and grandchildren, Charlee, Oren, Ophir, Eden, Joshua, Elijah, Gabriel, and Mimi. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Mount Sinai Cemetery, E. 7th St. and Ramsey Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Donations in Miriam’s honor may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood, NJ.
