Obituary of Jay S. Margulis
Jay Margulis was a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather who passed away on April 30, 2024. He was born to Mary and Alex Margulis on January 14, 1942, and raised in Waterloo, Iowa.
He attended the University of Iowa and earned a Bachelor's Degree in History. Later, he earned his Master's Degree in Business at Montclair State University. Jay briefly taught High School History before spending 35+ years as an officer with the Internal Revenue Service.
Jay enjoyed gardening, movies, and discussing politics and history. He loved to travel with his immediate family, especially to Naples, Florida. He is well known for his intelligence, sense of humor, devotion to his Jewish faith, and his deep love for his family.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Greta Margulis, his son Alan Margulis, his daughter Megan Black, his son-in-law Eddie Black, and two grandsons, Colby Margulis and Shane Black. He has been a long-time resident of Jackson, NJ, and proudly raised his family in Howell, NJ.
