Obituary of Lawrence M. Solomon

Lawrence (Larry) M. Solomon, 65, of Spring Lake Heights, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on February 9, 2021.

Born on December 24, 1955 in Montclair, NJ to Marvin and JoAnn. He graduated from Livingston High School in 1973 and went on to earn a degree in hospitality from Florida International University.

Growing up in the restaurant business, it was only fitting that Larry would spend his entire career in the hospitality industry. From summer jobs at the Yankee Clipper, to district manager at Houlihan’s, and most recently liquor salesman at Allied Beverage.

Larry was an avid sports fan and a loyal Giants supporter, however, his favorite pastime was spending time with loved ones. He was a proud father and especially loved when sports and family came together supporting his daughters at their swim meets and cheering on his sons at their basketball games.

Larry is survived by his Wife, Grace of Spring Lake Heights; Children: Alicia and her husband Brian of Cherry Hill, NJ, Katelyn of Dalton, GA, Andrew of Spring Lake Heights, Matthew of Spring Lake Heights; Granddaughters: Audrey and Claire; Mother: JoAnn; and Brother Jeff. He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin (Murph) Solomon.
