Obituary of Leo Ross
Leo Ross, 91, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his home. A veteran of the United States Navy, he was born in New York City on February 2 and lived in Lakewood for over 70 years. As a young man, he worked at the hotels. Leo then went on to own a bar in Lakewood. He was a partner in Pineland Carting and Waste Technology Enterprises (W.T.E.), a garbage carting company. Leo worked at Freehold Raceway as a Maitre’d for over 35 years. He retired and moved to Four Seasons where he enjoyed all of the amenities, especially swimming. He was an active member of the Minyonettes, a traveling, singing group that entertains at nursing homes. Leo loved being a member of Beth Am Shalom. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mimi; his three children, Scott, Stephen and Sherrie, and Holli and David Brondolo; and three grandchildren, Nicole, Alec and Aryn. Funeral and burial services will be held Wednesday, December 12, at 12:00 PM at Beth Am Shalom, 1235 Hwy 70, Lakewood, NJ. Shiva to be announced. A life well lived, Leo will be greatly missed. Arrangements are under the care of Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel.
