Obituary of Helina Sininsky
Helina Sininsky, 88, of Lakewood, NJ, died Friday, June 8, 2018. Helina was born in Czechoslovakia and was the only member of her family to survive the Holocaust. Helina worked for many years side by side with her husband at their business, Sininsky’s Kosher Meats and later retired to work at the Township of Lakewood Building Inspection Department. Helina was an active member of many organizations ranging from local to political. She was often invited by schools as a facilitator to speak about her Holocaust experience. She and her family are members of Congregation Ahavat Olam, Howell, NJ. Predeceased by her husband Gary (1996) and her son, Mark (2008), Helina is survived by her daughter, Gwynne; Son-in-Law, Glen; daughter-in-law, Judy; grandchildren, Joshua (Michelle), Arielle, Carly and Samantha as well as her great-grandson, Evan. Funeral services will be held 11AM Sunday, June 10 at The Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel, 613 Ramsey St. Lakewood, NJ, with interment to follow at Mount Sinai Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ.
