Obituary of Steven A. Pardes
Steven Pardes, 70, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away April 9, 2018 at Leisure Chateau Care Center, Lakewood. Born in New York City, Steven moved to Lakewood at a young age. He attended Lakewood schools and graduated in 1966. He furthered his education at Rutgers University followed by Cornell Law School. Steven practiced as an attorney in Brick and later established his own practice in Point Pleasant. He was a member and past president of Congregation B’Nai Israel, Toms River, and active in The Knights of Pythias and Brick Rotary. After his retirement, he volunteered for Kosher Meals on Wheels and for Caregiver Volunteers of Central NJ. Steven is survived by his beloved wife Marion of 30 years; his daughter, Beth of Neptune, NJ, and his brother Herbert Pardes of NY. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Congregation B’Nai Israel, Toms River, with interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ. Memorial contributions in Steven’s memory may be directed to Caregiver Volunteers of Central New Jersey (http://caregivervolunteers.org/), Rutgers Hillel (https://rutgershillel.org/) and Deborah Heart and Lung Center (https://demanddeborah.org/). Arrangements are under the care of Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel.
