Obituary of Martin S. Lefsky

Martin S. Lefsky, 74, of Wall Twp., died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Tower Lodge Care Center, Wall Twp. Born in Bronx, NY and raised in the Weequahic Section of Newark, NJ, he resided in Freehold and Ocean Twp. prior to settling in Wall Twp. Martin was a graduate of South Side H.S. (1958), and held a Master’s Degree from Montclair State College. He began teaching at Township of Ocean H.S. in 1965, and served as Social Studies Supervisor prior to retiring in 2002. He was a past president of the Board of Trustees of Four Seasons, Wall Twp. and a longtime member, past president, and trustee of Beth Am Shalom, Lakewood, NJ. Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Eva Lefsky and his wife, Janet Lefsky (nee Steinberg) (1998); he is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Adam Lefsky (Nicole) of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ; son, Scott Lefsky (Linda Noga) of Chicago, IL; daughter, Beth Haussmann (Robert) of Center Valley, PA; daughter, Marta Lefsky (Elroy Darden) of Woodbridge, NJ; step-son, Clint Wulfekotte (Andrea) of Holmdel, NJ; step-daughter, Stacey Younger (Eric) of Lincoln University, PA; sister, Elaine Tunkel (Larry) of Lakewood, NJ; and grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Amanda, Bailey, and Olivia. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 18, 2015 at Beth Am Shalom, 1235 Hwy. 70, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Entombment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ. Memorial donations may be made to Beth Am Shalom, Lakewood, NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood, NJ.
